Iran Riots

This article talks about how the riots in Iran last year were thought to be a sign of Islamic awakening by many.  Khamenei stated that before the Iranian revolution, the country was dependent of cultures of the west, and after they were able to be independent.  The article also detail how they believe that the uprising last year in Egypt almost seemed like a continuation of the revolution in Iran.

This article directly relates to Persepolis because of how similar the situations are.  The revolution had similar effects on the people and there seemed to be a divide in what people believed and wanted.
